3/8' head on a 1/4" tripod mount??
I am keen on the Manfrotto 460MG. But not sure if it fits onto a 1/4" tripod thread mount. Is there any adaptor supplied when I purchase the 3-way head?
I see there are number markings on the blue sticker beside the bottom knob. Do these markings serve as a guide for taking panoramic pictures?
Pls advise. Thanks in advance.

Most tripod legsets have a 3/8-16 threaded stud for attaching a head. However if your trying to attach a head to a head or to one of the many accessories that have a 1/4-20 thread you'll need an adapter bushing. This has a 1/4-20 thread on the inside and 3/8-16 on the outside.
See the above bogen part as an example.
The markings on the panning section of the head do indicate rotation and can be used for panaramic shots.
