Hi I am looking at purchasing a Tenba Messenger(Large) and was wondering if any of you have one and what you think? In particular, I would like to know if you have any experience of a D7000+MD-D11 battery grip fitting within the bag.

I've got the Tenba bag that is one size smaller. No external pouches or zipper pockets. I can't remember the exact model number, so i held off. I
Now that I can see the photos I can say this for sure — my smaller bag will hold a speedlite, body, and 2 lenses. D7000. It's a bit of a squeeze. But the battery grip, when it's attached, forces out one of the lenses. It's a bit of a squeeze. So, definitely a larger bag will hold what you want. Calumet had a huge pile of them on sale at their Hollywood store. I got one through their mail order store. Possibly still on sale. 60% off on the Messengers.
One half year after posting this, and with moderate use, the Tenba Urban Messenger bag is a delight. It virtually 'disappears' on my shoulder. With D7000, lens and speed light, I just hunch my right shoulder slightly forward, undue the clasps, and everything is at my fingertips.
Zippers are all important on camera bags, and for all I know, every manufacturer uses the same brand zipper. But on the Temba bag, the zipper just zips. It never gets in the way or snags.
