I have my Sigma 120mm-300mm lens that I need to send in for test and check, I think the lens mount needs replacing or adjustment, I have alot of play on it. When I attach my nikon camera body, I sometimes get the "ee" error. If I turn it off and on quickly it seems to work okay, till it occurs again. I am beggining to lose a lot of my football shots because of its unpredictability.
I have never had to send a Sigma lens for repair, I see where they are 4 authorized service centers. Has anyone out there have a positive or negative expeirences. I am in Utah.
I have sent my Sigmas to the factory repair center on Long Island. I simply have used the on-line form on their web site o set it up.. Service has been fast and complete. If it's a warranty repair, they pay the return shipping.
I have had excellent results from their repair center. Before you send it in, you might want to check the screws holding the lens mount. I have had some come loose, and was able to tighten them with a jeweler's screwdriver and fix the problem myself.
I'm glad it worked for you. If you ever do have to send one in to Sigma, I think you will find them quick, and very fair about how they fix it. They once fixed a lens I bought 2nd hand - under warranty! It was an 18-50 f2.8 that back focused. I still have and use that lens, as it is right to spec., and gives great results.
