Brought back Tamron; Thinking ofr Sigma
I tried the Tamron 90mm macro lens on my Nikon D100 and the exposure did not work correctly with flash; apparently, it's a problem based on what my contact at the dealer said.
Now I am interested in the Sigma lens--105mm to be specific--and would appreciate anyone's pros or cons on the lens as it relates to a Nikon digital camera (D100, D1H, D1X).
Pictures taken with the flash had completely blown highlights (Tamron 90mm). I want to make sure the Sigma lens is completely compatible before I order it.

There are a lot of user reviews of this lens here:
You may find someone who has used it with a Nikon DSLR. As I recall, the only compatibility problem I remember reading was with Canon EOS series, but that seemed to be sporadic at best. Hope this helps.

The Sigma 105mm EX lens is great. It is a "D" Type lens and will work on the Nikon digitals fine.
I don't have one but have used it on my F5, with great results. The only 105mm that I liked better is my now destroyed (I shattered the front element.) MF Nikkor. Now that was an incredible lens.
