I tend to buy Nikon filters - whenever Nikon has what I need. The price for Nikon filters is though of course healthy - you know what I mean when you go out shopping them, esp. for 77mm, such as the UV filter L37C.

This might not be an issue for a pro, but for amateurs it might.

Have anyone of you been using lower-priced filters with which you think that you have made a good deal, both price and optical quality wise? Or, do you rather use the Nikon ones incl. other high quality, high priced ones since you don't trust the "lower grade" ones?
