Welcome to Nikonians! Thank you for your support. Glad to hear you got it figured out. It can be tough to get a good grip on the back ring of a CPL. I keep a wide rubber band in my bag and use for a little extra grip when I have a problem. Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!
My B&W CPL rotates really smooth. That was actually part of my 'issue'.
The rubber band tip would have fixed my original 'non'-problem. I thought I had a good grip on the extremely thin stationary part of the filter when I was trying to remove it from the lens, but apparently not.
Once I took a little time and actually looked at what I was doing, I realized the error of my ways and now I understand how it should work. Big time rookie mistake!
I have a lot of reading to do on these forums to get myself up to speed, but I am having a ball doing it and am constantly amazed at how little I actually know!
I now have a rubber band in my camera bag. Great tip!
