I need to get a 77mm filter for protection on my 80-200 f2.8 (two ring).
My 17-55 came with a Nikkor 77mm L37c. (Thank you again to the seller).

I read the Nikonian article at the following link https://www.nikonians.org/html/resources/guides/uv_haze_skylight/uv_haze_skylight_filters1.html

I have narrowed my search down to 3 filters. Which one do you recommend.

(1) Hoya 77mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Haze Multi-Coated Glass Filter ~ $49 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/23735-REG/Hoya_773036_77mm_Ultraviolet_UV_0_Haze.html/BI/4775/KBID/5289/

(2) Hoya 77mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter ~ $57

or (3) Hoya 77mm Clear Pro 1 Digital Multi-Coated Glass Filter ~ $71

I plan on indoor shooting mostly but some outdoor stuff also. When I took a shot of my son with the 17-55 lens the other day I expereinced some green flare. (When my wife asked what happened, I found out in some lens reviews that the 17-55 is subject to flare.)

Thanks for your help and opinions, I am learning.

Nikonians is the Smithsonian of Nikon knowledge. If there is a question they can't answer, I want to see the question.
