Hi there,
I've just bought a second hand SD-8A battery pack for my SB28 - F100 combination, it did'nt come with a box or instructions.
Although it should be pretty self explantry, Can anyone tell me what the short lead with the pc type plug is used for?
I reckon it connects to the camera's pc socket due to its short length but the pack seems to work whether it is plugged into camera or not, why would it need a trigger from the camera anyway?

I've even opened up the box and there is a lot of surface mount componants, I was surprised to see so much electronics are inside considering that it only supplies more power to the flash.

Does any one have any experiance with this unit?
I will probably never use it but it was such a bargain compared to a new one.

Any links available on the net regarding this unit?

Any help greatly appreciated

If it isn’t broken, keep fixing it until it is
