I am planning to invest on a Photoflex silver/gold circular reflector. The golden question is what size, 12" or 22", is better for personal use (not a studio photographer) and travel?
Thanks for helping me out.

I have the larger size reflector, but just today received my order of the 12 inch diffuser and 12 inch gold/white reflectors (Photoflex from B&H video). I plan to use the smaller reflectors when shooting wildflowers where the larger size is to cumbersome to use. So, it depends on your subject and coverage required by the reflectors/diffusers.

I have a small reflector because it packs smaller. But my experience
seems to show that I should have got the bigger one. You can always
fold the big one so it casts a smaller reflection; but if you need more
light from the reflector you can't make the small ones bigger.
Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us
nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in
which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.

I have the 22" and it's only just barely big enough for my purpose, which is mostly shooting flowers. A 12" is WAY TOO SMALL for that. The 22" folds up pretty small. I'd consider the next step up, although I like the practicality of the 22" size.
