I've set mine to store raw NEF at best quality.
It seems I'm forced to ALSO process and store a second .jpg as well.
Trying to stop that choice by going through the menu is not working.

Does anyone know how to get JUST the NEF and let the big computer in there get ready for the next shot?
Maybe let me cycle faster in burst mode & catch my grandson doing something right in football?

That would also save memory on my chip, since I just delete the jpegs after the NEFs are safe on my PC hard drive.

Hey ~ electrons are cheap but maybe I can sell this as a Green Initiative, they might be a zero sum environmental issue next week.
