Infrared with D70s, Can't get the right color post edit
Hi everyone, I'm trying some infrared test shots with my D70s, the filter I use is a (don't laugh ) ilford-cokin gel filter for the sfx200(now discontinued i think). I do get the infrared glows in the raw files but the problem is I can't get the right color with the channel mixer in photoshop CS
before channel mixer:
after channel mixer:
all I did is in channel mixer: red channel: red->0% and blue->100% and blue channel: red->100% and blue->0%
anything I did wrong? it shouldn't be the filter cuz it all worked for Kodak, Ilford, and even Konica ir films.

I went through a similar thing. Its much better if you do a custom white balance with the IR filter attached and then do channel mixer and hue adjstment to get the colour you want.
Hope this helps,

those are nice images!! And thx a lot for the tip! thats the step I've missed! I thought I shoould do the custom WB without IR filter attatched.
