Wireless control of SB-800 in daylight?
I was wondering if it is possible to trigger the SB-800 (or another Speedlight) remotely in broad daylight using the D70?
With a sync speed of 1/500 there is some great possibilities for fill in flash, if this is possible
However, using a Canon S45 I have made a few experiments using a slave trigger on the SB-28, works great indoors and at night, but when there is too much natural light, I can't trigger the SB-28 using the slave.
I guess I'm hoping that another technology is used in the wireless communication between a D70 and a SB-800...

I read yesterday (sorry, don't remember which reviewer) that the CLS system sends information and triggers remote flashes by modulating preflashes. If this is true, theoretically as long as some of the preflash is visible to the remote, it should fire no matter how bright the ambient is.
Hopefully the reviewer was correct, haha...
