Like I've mentioned I'm brand new to the craft. I got my D80 yeasterday and in my haste I took off to the park today to shoot my kids. Granted, I don't know how to use any of the features yet but I kept it on Auto and P, and just took it from there, hey, I'm a noob!
Anyway, I posted a clutch of the pics online. I had some fun in my new Capture NX that came in today, so not quite sure what I was doing in there, but I played with colors and such.
Please take a look at these if you have a moment, I'm pretty excited. I know they're not that great, but my kids kick ##### and seeing them in a nice resolution is pretty cool.
Very nice pictures, indeed. I also got my D80 about a week ago and have enjoyed the results of my kid's pictures as well. They make great subjects without having to go anywhere to find them. Congrats on the new camera!

Thanks guys! I'm a filmmaker by trade, so I've spent a few years 'composing shots', but never with a camera. Thanks again!
Actually I don't really know those parts yet, but I'm learning about f-stops/appature and shutter speed right now. Totally confused but I think I'll get it. Just bought a couple insightful books. Thanks!
