I have owned the D200 for well over a year now and registered it with Nikon on purchase.
I have just received an invite to join the NIKON PROFESSIONAL USER which gives me free membership to the NPU scheme.
"NPU membership is open exclusively to owners of Nikon professional cameras and gives access to a great range of free services, including:
Freephone technical help from the Nikon Professional Support specialists on the Pro hotline Free subscription to Nikon Pro magazine, featuring the latest Nikon news, interviews with top pro photographers, in-depth product reviews and expert advice Notice of new Nikon products Invitations to roadshows, seminars and other professional events 10% discount on expert-led Nikon training courses."
Seems good to me and I have registered. When my on camera Flash became u/s Nikon (UK) advised me I would receive priority service as a "Pro" camera user. It was repaired and returned within days! Great service!
Have any other D200 users just received this invitation? It seems strange that after a year or more they have just e-mailed me.

I'm guessing this may be a 'new' outlook they've - I only say that as you mention you've just received the invitation having owned your D200 for some time - I purchased my D200 a couple of months ago and was given the NPU option when registering it online (in fact a sticker on the box told me of its availability)
Yes, there was a sticky leaflet thing on the box which I returned.
I get a nice shiny magazine every quarter, although a great deal of it is spent telling me how great Nikon products are (I wasn't expecting a sales pitch). However, when wedding couples come round for a pre-booking chat I leave it subtlely on the coffee table
