My daughters needed some senior pics, so with handy D200, 18-200VR and my SB800 for fill and hightlights we went out. Since I am so new with this camera and flash I welcome suggestions that I can learn and apply for the next time. Thanks

Compositionally I think it works quite nicely. The only problem I see is that the focus area isn't on the eyes. You might want to visit the Portrait forum where lots of super talented people talk about portraiture and related. They are far better than I am at portraits. Heck, you are as well!
Thanks for the input - I really appreciate it! I did post on the other forum but didn't get much feed back, if you have time click on my gallery for others I took that same day. Funny what happens when you volunteer to shoot pics for free, now there are two more to do!
Don, Thanks for the input! Greatly appreciated. I really enjoy the versatility of this lens. My old screw mount Pentax 85m 1.9 was always my favorite lens but this one opens up a whole new world. I can turn around from portraits to wildlife without missing a shot.
Look at your daughter's eyes. There is too much white and you can see the blood vessels. Try to do the same shot but have her look at something so that the retinas (I think that's the term) are centered. Or else, have her turn her head more away from the camera.
