I found this item in the B&H Photo website as an alternative for the Nikon MC 36 (I think this is the one). Does anyone own one of these? I need to know if the shutter button locks down for long time exposures in bulb mode.
I purchased a remote called "REMOTE SWITCH" a couple of months ago and it´s great for the price of about 28€. It actually has a metllic lock screw like the Nikon one!!! On the cable is the text "www.novaphotography.biz"
I just got this exact item from a guy in the UK on eBay. The total cost, including shipping was about $25. It took about three weeks to get here, though. Works fine, but the plug is quite tight, you feel like you're not doing it properly.
Ah yes, that's the ADIDT model I've been looking at. However I hear that due to the orientation of the plug, the lead collides with the lens making it awkward to fit/use. Can you confirm this? When you view your camera from the front, in which direction does the cable leave the 10-pin socket?
I bought an ADIDT remote cord for my d200 off of eBay several months ago. It feels flimsy and plasticky, but I've never had a problem with it. It's always worked flawlessly. And you can't beat the $7.95 price.
An addition to thread #12. Very fast shipping. The ADIDT works fine with the D200 but only intermittently with the D2Hs although it's advertised to work with both. Great deal for $12.85 including shipping.
