"proper handholding" and the D100

Ok, I read over the proper handholding article for the first time today...

I always put triger side up when shooting portrait. I tried it with the D100 and it felt awful and I really couldn't steady it. Maybe its because I don't have any long glass of my own to try it on.

I was wondering if anyone else broke this rule often...
