Congratulations... i made the same run 1 1/2 month ago (although i keep one foot in the F100 forum for now ) I bought the D100 on october 19th and i am reaching the 1500th picture with it... (of which i kept less than 100) When you forget the infamous viewfinder, the D100 is definitely a jewel...have fun !
Mainly I'm staying with Nikon because I already have a lot of Nikon gear. Over the last year over the last couple of years I made sure that anything I bought for my old camera (F100) was digital compatible.
If I had a lot of Canon gear I might have made a different decision.
July 14th, 2003 I bought a D100. So far, I have taken just over 4500 photographs. This is about 1000 photographs per month, average. I have kept exactly 371. Keeper:total ratio is about 8%.
I thought I enjoyed photography with the FM3A (which I still have), but my world has been transformed by this new camera. The price of admission was high, but you can go on the rides as many times as you want!
I seriously wonder if I will ever use the FM3A, again.
