I have a question, sorry If It looks stupid, but I´ve been reading some discussion groups on the net where It was said that the D100 will not accept manual focus lens at all. That the lack of a CPU (D, G, ED etc, lens type ) will turn the light meter (all thre modes) off completely.
Is this true?
Aren´t the lens compatibility features for the D100 the same than the ones for the F100, excepting DTTL?

Actually, I'm kind of looking forward to using the D100 without a light meter as it will force me to learn to judge exposures "by hand" rather than relying on spot, centre-weighted, or matrix metering.
It could be fun... since there's no film wasted and you get to see the fruits of your labours immediately, it may be a fine way to learn the hallowed art of light-craft.
