D100 & locking aperture/shutterspeed
Does anyone know if it is possible to lock the aperture- end shutterspeed-setting in the (M)-mode? In the studio and after measuring the flashlights, it happens often to me that by hitting the commanddial, it changes by accident (nice picture gone :'( ).

Shoot in program mode instead. Use the override capability of the command dial to make program mode act like manual mode, by dialing in the exact setting you want. Then if you accidently move the dial, the camera will adjust to the new setting automatically.
If you are unsure of about what I speak, check out "Flexible Program" in the manual, or do a google search. This is an underused feature of Nikon cameras.
