What was your approach to packing your D100 for firmwar
OK, none of us are happy about having to part with our D100s as they make their way to KY for the firmware upgrade. In addition to not having the camera for some time, we need to figure out how to pack it securely enough to avoid any damamge. For those of you who have already survived this...how did you do it? What was your method of packing to achieve optimal protection??? Thanks for your input from those of us still needing to go through this process.

I used an old Coolpix 5000 box and then insured the BeeJeebers out if it.
It came back slapped in bubblewrap and dropped in a box. Not the usual Nikon care was taken.
On top of that, my LCD cover was lying loose in the box and had a small scratch in it.
I sent NikonUSA a note but haven't heard back.
As always, please have a Great Day!
