I am a new D100 User, I have been putting my new camera through it's paces and finding it's limitiations. One major issue I'm having is my images are needing quite a bit of adjustment in photoshop to get brighter looking images. I'm wondering if there is a setting in the camera software to aliviate this?

This is a common complaint about the D100 images. Do a search in this forum for "D100 underexposure" and you'll find lots of threads about this. Some of the most common solutions are:
- upload a custom tone curve using Nikon Capture 3
- dial in a constant +0.3 or +0.7 EV compensation
Some people also report that using an eye cup helps, since it prevents light leakage through the viewfinder.
