I'm experienced my D100 buffer became half. We know that the RAW buffer is 4 or the JPG buffer is 6. But it already happened to me three times that the buffer is became 2 for RAW or 3 for JPG. I try to format but it doesn't help. I try to take off the battery for a minute, still the same. Finally I reset the custom to default, and the real buffer is back; 4 for RAW. It happened when I'm changing lens and the other times when I'm changing microdrive.
Every time it happened I just reset the custom setting, and have to adjust my custom setting again.
Do I have to take it to service center? The camera is 1 months old.
it's near Bali, if you don't know where it is

if you have the long exposure noise reduction on it will change the buffer totals to exactly what you said they were at. check that in the csm which i think the nr is off on the default settings. i hope that helps.
