I am planning a visit to Colorado (Copper Mountain) for a family ski/snowboard trip next week. I will be taking (making) a lot of photographs with my D100. I normally use my Microdrive (completely problem free!) will I be alright relying on this device at altitude (base 9712' to summit 12,313' above sea level)? I understand that the drive has an 'air' bearing which requires it be used below a certain altitude. Does anyone have any experience with its limitations in this regard?
