I just read the news in dpreview about stolen D100 in Germany. With all the serial number.
The news are:

On 21st December 2002 there was a burgulary at Nikon Germany warehouse, 192 Nikon D100 and 100 Nikon Coolpix 2500 digital cameras were stolen. Nikon Germany is offering a €36,000 reward for any information about these stolen cameras. Buyers in Germany and the rest of Europe should beware of too-good-to-be-true offers for such cameras.
