I just read about DSLR Pro Shooter Kit from Hoodman -- www.hoodmanusa.com -- for protective LCD and better viewing, maybe?
Anyone has use this thing? Is it good?
it's near Bali, if you don't know where it is

Some people may like it, while others not. I tried this hood and found that it interfered with my eye as I tried to look through the viewfinder (the hood kept hitting my cheak). Even though it supposed to retract, I still found it to be a bother - to me at least. The next guy may love it and swear by it...you be the judge.

I agree with Ben.
For protecting the LCD, the original equipment Nikon BM-2 works just fine.
I do find that in bright sun it can be difficult to view the screen, but I generally only end up needing to in difficult light (dawn/dusk) anyway so it hasn't been too much of an issue.
