Dear all,

I've recently upgraded my D70s to a D200 after giving up hope that Nikon would come out with a full frame format DSLR in the near future.

Recently, I've read some online articles during the release of the D200 concerning FF CCD, that with the size of the current 135 format lens, it is impossible to project satisfactory image on a full frame sensor espeically on the edge because light has to strike the CCD at a 90 degree angle to render good image. Hence, to produce good image on a FF sensor, Nikon would have to make bigger lens than the current F-mount type.

My question is whether the above limitation is due to the current technolgical barrier (i.e. CCD prodution method), or it is a physical limitation that the very nature of CCD requies light to strike it at a certain angle, hence would be impossible to overcome other than making bigger lens. Secondly, does the FF CMOS of Canon encounter the same problem, and if so how do they overcome the issue.
