Using SB-800 with SC-27 sync cord
Can the SB-800 be used with a D-200 via an SC-27 sync cord connected to the AS-10 adapter mounted on the hot shoe of the camera? The physical connection works but my concern is the brochure of the SC-27 does not list the D-200 nor the SB-800.

I don't understand about the AS-10, the SC-27 connects directly to the hotshoe and should work fine.
The SB-800 manual lists the SC-27 on page 111.
It's true the D200 manual only lists SC-17, 28, and 29 on page 179; but the SC-27 will be fine.

I don't own the SC-27, but as far as I recall (and a quick search on B&H confirms this) the SC-27 is a cord for wired TTL multi-flash. It connects to the TTL sync connector on the AS-10, SC-17 and SC-28. I think this is not supported on dSLRs, at least not in TTL mode. Only the hotshoe extension cords (SC-17/28/29) and the Advanced Wireless System of the Creative Lighting System support TTL on a Nikon dSLR (can Nikon please fire the marketing guys that created these long names?).
