OK, so I had WAY too much time on my hands this morning. Between the time change, the power and cable/internet being out, and most of my work caught up, I got to pondering the size of the new camera.

Using known dimensions as reference in pictures I had previously downloaded to my laptop, and a couple of Nikons for reference. I have developed reasonably accurate dimensions of the camera. 147 x 114 x 78mm. (5.8 x 4.5 x 3in) Based on these dimensions, it will be ever so slightly smaller than an F6, and ever so slightly larger than an F100.

The viewable area of the monitor is almost exactly 2.5in on the diagonal, and the round buttons are the same size as on the D2X.

Like I said, way to much time, but for those of you in the same boat, it should make for a fun read. Now that everything is back on, I have to go to work
