There are many D200 rumours floating around on the internet, some true, some not so true. Nikon themselves have given us the basics.

1) It is very nice to see 10pin remote and PC sync on the camera body.
2) 10.2mp, very nice, and a rather large improvement over D100/D70(s). It's only 4 more mp, but 3 years new technology.
3) Magnesium alloy body, finally.
4) Improved AF, I doubt the exact same as D2HS(x), but looks promising.

a) We will probably only see 1/250 flash sync, hopefully with full CLS compatibility and Auto FP flash.
b) I have no doubt there will be a vertical grip. I just hope it takes an EN-EL4 like the F6 and D2 series rather than 2 EN-EL3a.
c) Nikon has not provided true MLU in a non-pro body, so no MLU here.
d) CCD not CMOS, so most likely ISO 200-1600. They have solved the noise issues in latest cameras, so I expect this will be as good as the D50 and D2X.

We will have to wait until Tuesday, but I am first on the list at our shop, (as usual) and I threw in my NPS number for good measure.
