I currently have a D300, D7000 and D700. I only need one DX and one FX body and haven't quite made up my mind which DX to keep. Another option I am considering is to sell both the D300 and D7000 and replace with a D300s.

The way I see it the advantages of the D7000 are the higher ISO performance, 24 mps, low light AF, dual card slots. Main disadvantage is that you have to use buttons on the back of the camera to change WB, ISO and QUAL. Not a huge issue but it does take an extra few seconds if you are trying to adjust on the fly. Not too crazy about all the sport/landscape etc. modes. The U1 and U2 banks are handy but I keep forgetting which settings I have in each. I wish one could name them.

The advantages of the D300/D300s are the very similar dial setup to the D700. I really like having a single top button for WB/QUAL/ISO, ability to name custom banks such as sports, landscape etc. Also both cameras use the same battery and grip and memory cards. The D300s has the added advantage of the dual card slots.

I very rarely use the video mode.

Any other thoughts about me replacing the D300 and D7000 with a D300s?
