I received the bad news yesterday from my local camera store, and had to convey to my GF the news that the card reader/writer on her beloved D300 is bad.
Has anyone faced this problem recently?
Where did you send it?
How much did it cost?
With D300 prices where they are, is it worth the repair, or should we be looking at another camera? There is not really a comparable in the Nikon line at this time.
We do have a D7000, so she is not Nikonless, but she wants her pro-level camera.
However, in desperation, she has even used the word (HORRORS) "Canon."

Reading other posts, is there really a D400?
