My D200's firmware is 1.0 for both A and B.

Having read some horror stories about how updating ended up requiring the camera to be sent back to Nikon, I'm wondering about the benefit of updating.

I am fully capable of following the instructions from Nikon, although I find the statement that version must be lower than 2.0 while showing an image of the version as 2.0 a bit odd.

I'd appreciate hearing any thoughts others might care to post now that the updates have been out for quite awhile now.

Part of me subscribes to the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" school, so unless there's more to the updates than Nikon publishes, I'm a bit skeptical. After all, lots of us are familiar with Windows updates.....
