Hi all, taking some star trails on a tripod, using 30sec exposure on continuous.

Fine one night but the next when I plug in my MC-30 the D300 reacts as if the shutter button (or MC-30) is half-pressed, r12 displayed in the shot counter and Menu and Playback buttons deactivated etc. Pressing the MC-30 fully takes a picture as normal but releasing it the D300 reverts to the half-pressed state.

Other than a faulty MC-30, is there anything I could have mis-set on the camera to cause this???
