Hello, I'm having problems with the shutter button after AF has focused. I've released the button and press again to take shot and all it does when I press again is adjust focus again without taking a shot. I've studied the manual and I have everything set. I will be shooting alot during the holidays so I want to use the battery pack. This may be a stupid newbee but you help will be greatly appreciated and thanks

Can you share with us your current autofocus settings on the camera? It might help with the troubleshooting.
Are you half-pressing again on the subsequent shots before fully depressing to close the shutter? Depending upon your AF settings, you may need to let the camera lock focus again before fully pressing down.

Thanks for your responce covey 22. I went back and set camera to default. It seems I've been a little hasty and have been releaseing the shutter a little after focusing which caused the camera to refocus again. It's time to move on from the newbee. If you can think of anything from these settings please let me know. I did tweet from jpeg to raw. Best of the season to you and your family
