Last night I took some family photos outside using the self-timer button, but since my son is ten months old, he squirmed around quite a bit which made it tough to get a good picture. How can I set my D200 to take multiple shots when using the self-timer? If I could have it take three or five shots in succession it would probably be easier to get one where all of us are smiling and looking at the camera. I have been through the menus but can't seem to find that option.
There is no way to capture multiple images with a single press of the shutter release when the camera is in self timer mode. You should consider getting a Nikon ML-3 Modulite Control Set or a third party RF trigger. Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!
That's a little disappointing, but knowing is half the battle. At least I won't be spending time trying to find this option anymore. And I will say that the blinking AF light in self-timer mode does do a good job of getting my son to look at the camera.
