I know that this is a VERY tiny issue (if an issue, at all) and it's not that I really MISS this piece, but I notice that on the D200 that I bought in December and the one that came Saturday, neither have a hot shoe cover. Not sure I've ever seen a camera with a hot shoe that didn't have a cover. Now, I've probably lost more of these than I've saved over the years, but just wondering why it wasn't included in the D200?

LOL. I was thinking that, at my age, maybe one DID come and I didn't see it in the box. One DID come with my D50, though, and all of the other film SLR's that I bought in the misty past - thus the question.
I didn't get one with my D70 nor my D70s...as a matter of fact I only just saw one the other day when I was looking for a 10 pin cover (no I haven't lost mine yet but...) I thought to myself why would I need a hot shoe cover...still don't know
After I bought my D70 a large box arrived after I registered the camera. It was filled with tens of thousands of hot shoe covers. I assumed that these were meant for the D70's, but didn't want to start a problem. I quietly tossed them out...and kept two.
