For those who select "AF-On Only" in Custon Setting a6, please explain the advantage of doing so. I understand that if one selects "Shutter/AF-On" one has the option of using either the shutter button (pressed 1/2 down) or the AF-On button to initiate and hold focus. Why is having the option not the preferred option?

I initially thought that if one did select "Shutter/AF-On" and wished to use the AF-On button to initiate and hold focus the press of the shutter button would override the focus initiated with the AF-On button. However, that is not the case, at least not in the limited testing I have done with my D200.

Maybe I am missing something. Please share your experience and views on this.
