Hope the experts could give me some enlightenment. Today was very bright and sunny day with clear skies and I was trying to shoot the view of the Austrian Alps from my apartment's balcony with my newly acquired 24-70 f/2.8. Camera was set as follows:
Exposure: Aperture priority
Release mode: Single
ISO = 200
Every time I switched to 2 of my Custom Settings banks, but without changing Shooting Menu bank and/or other settings on the camera body, the shutter speed was absolutely slow even though the shutter speed showed was 800 or higher.

Found the problem. I guess I had some "senior moments". Exposure delay mode (menu d10) was set to on on those two banks in question.
My first impression of the 24-70mm f/2.8 is; boy, what a lens. It's heavy though. I tried removing the battery grip to reduce weight but the camera feels more balanced with the grip on.
