Hope the experts could give me some enlightenment. Today was very bright and sunny day with clear skies and I was trying to shoot the view of the Austrian Alps from my apartment's balcony with my newly acquired 24-70 f/2.8. Camera was set as follows:

Exposure: Aperture priority
Focus: Continuous
Release mode: Single
Metering: Matrix
AF-Area: Dynamic
ISO = 200

Every time I switched to 2 of my Custom Settings banks, but without changing Shooting Menu bank and/or other settings on the camera body, the shutter speed was absolutely slow even though the shutter speed showed was 800 or higher.
