I just received my Zeikos grip, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it has an IR receiver, which was not a feature I remember reading about. It comes with an IR remote, but it also works with my ML-L3 which I prefer using, but a backup remote never hurts to have on hand.

As others have mentioned it's not the same build quality of the MB-D10 but for $35 ($60 on Amazon.com, but someone gave me a $25 gift card) I decided to try it out. It is kinda "plastic-y" but the finish does come relatively close to my D300s.

It also comes with a car charger but I doubt I'll need it - discharging the battery hasn't been a problem for me in the last three years.

Trays for the EN-EL3 and Alkaline batteries are included.

I hope to have a chance to use it tonight if the kids don't get to me first.
