I have an F100, and intend to get a D200 soon. I shall continue to use both of them, and am considering what zooms to get which will work well on both. I currently have a 28-85 AF Nikkor but would dispose of that if necessary. Presumably I should go for the normal AF film camera zooms rather than any specially designed for digital? Any advice would be welcome, in particular which two good quality zooms would best meet the dual purpose. I would aim to cover the range from wide (e.g. 18-20mm) up to 200, if that makes sense.
Many thanks in advance for any comments.

Just go for the Nikon 18-200 VR and don't look back. I have one and many others do as well. It is very sharp and the VR is fantastic. I was never a fan of super zooms until I used this one. At least as good as the 18-70 Kit lens with the D70s that everyone raves about.

The 18-200 is a DX lens--you don't want this on your F100.
If you have lots of cash, I would recomend the Sigma 12-24 f/4 and the Nikon 70-200VR. Both will work on film and digital and keep the 24-85 as a mid-range

The Nikon 12-24 f4 DX will work on both cameras. On the film camera you will get vignetting below 18mm, but that still gives you 18-24.
