Hi guy's/gals!! New here but have been lurking for a while. I do have a question I sure hope can be answered. I've had my D300 for about 3 months now and have had no problems what-so-ever until now. I've gotten pretty savvy with all it's cf's and settings but I think I might have messed something up a bit. After viewing a shot and trying to delete the message "Folder Contains No Image" appears on the LCD. The CF card excepts the photo and is able to load and be viewed on my computer. I have checked/changed every setting I can find with regards to this. I have reset to all defaults!! Nothing!! What have I done? It's still under warranty until Nov 09. Should I send it in or have I just over-looked something? Thanks in advance!! X

This may be a bit too obvious, but is it the only image on the card? If so, when you delete it, that message would be correct.
Next test... have you reached 10,000 shots? If so, when you take the next picture, the camera will create a new folder on the card and number it 0001. if you deleted THAT one, "folder contains no images" makes sense again.
Did one of your images record on the card incorrectly? When this happens, the camera will also create a new folder and start to record images in the new folder.
Did YOU create any new folders through the camera menu?
Absent any of those scenarios, have you tried reformatting the card in the camera and trying again?
Thanks so much for the suggestions! I have tried most everything you have listed but it looks like this D300 is off to see the wizard. I'm going to try a couple more ideas but this one has e stumped! Just for the record, it only has about a 1000 shutter releases. There is only one thing I can think of that I did differently that I have never done before. A couple of days prior I took a couple of quick shots only to find I hadn't put the cf card back in from previous down-load. So those two shots were taken without a memory card. Could that have anything to do with it? Other than this I am completely baffled!!
