I need a review of the picture quality, noise control, CAM1000 and speed of focusing motor (for my slow 80-400VR). I suspect it will be weeks or more likely a month or two before we know more. I am very pleased with everything else I've read
Albert J Valentino Nikonian Moderator Emeritus Vantage Point Images Mastery of Composition is the Key to Great Photography
This article has images with details that nobody else has featured. The product photos are nicely done, the writing is quite readable. This has more useful information that most of the print magazines will deliver. It has better images of the Remote Speedlight system than Nikon has offered. It's nice to see that one benefit of the built in flash is that D200 (and D50-D70) owners won't need to invest in an SU-400 Commander like the D2 users will. The image overlay feature that is baffling in Nikon's description is explained clearly (it's a silly feature, but that's beside the point).
If only all the discussions here were as worthwhile.
Yes, it is a bother that -as it stands - we can not use our old EL3 batteries. But one of the new batteries is provided with the body and should last for 1800 shots. That should easy the pain ( a little).
