I have been using Camera Control Pro with my D200 to take macro pictures of coins. I use it for the feature of being able to take a picture have it go straight to the computer and I can see the result. I understand the D300 has a live view but I am not up to that yet. I was thinking of upgrading to camera control pro 2 but was wondering if there was better software out there I should look at.

My only problem with camera control pro is speed. Seems to take a while for raw pictures to make it to the viewing screen aside from that it seems to suit my needs.

I use photoshop elements for my editing and that seems to suit me fine also because I need a circle crop.

Thanks for any info,

Todd.
