I was out shooting with a friend yesterday...we both have D300s. We started out shooting multiple exposures in CL mode (we both have d4:CL Mode Shooting Speed set to 3). Both cameras shot as expected. Then we switched to CH mode. My friend's D300 shot again as expected...noticeably faster at around 6fps. My D300, on the other hand, shot at the same speed as CL...about 3 fps. I have gone over all of the menus and just can't find what I have set incorrectly. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Which RAW/NEF settings are you using? If you shoot 14-bit RAW, then you're automatically reduced to shooting no faster than 2.5 FPS. You'll definitely want to be shooting 12-bit RAW if you want to get 6 FPS.

You got that right Brandon - you hit the nail on the head! I also had a very similar post on the same exact topic, published on the first page, but now, thanks to you, i will not have to search any longer to solve my slow D300 in CH mode.
