Hello everyone,
I'm coming out of hibernation from my previous photobug days and want to get back into shooting. With that said, I previously used and was OK with my father's Nikon F3HP and a FE. I have looked into some new digital Nikons and am unfortunately in a bind.

Most of our lenses our older D series, P, S, and even some E series lenses which were modified to work with the F mounts. They obviously work flawlessly except for the light meter functionality. So, my dilemma is that I will have to buy all new lenses to get into the digital realm (to have autofocus, metering, etc).

Fortunately, I have significant discretionary income and have planned to allocate approximately $5000 towards some lenses and a body. Since I'm an intermediate level amateur, I figured that I could pick up a used D200 and buy some new lenses. What are your recommendations for blowing this budget and coming out with a well rounded setup?

Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.

Happy Holidays,
Andrew
