They were available on release day, and then it said it was out of stock for a few days. Well, i checked again today, and the best buy website says they are available. I just ordered mine. HOpefully (cross my fingers) i'll get the shipping confirmation tomorrow. I guess the only bad thing is you pay tax on bestbuy.com. If you have a rewards card, you'll get about 40 dollars worth of best buy giftcards in return. and you can order via jellyfish.com, and get 3% cash back.
I ordered a D300 from Best Buy after reading it was availble on this board. Ordered it Sunday and it was delivered by Friday. Yes I did have to pay taxes, I'm in New york however considering I have not been on a waiting list for three months, what the heck!
Hi: I may be wrong about this but if you are not from the state of New York you shouldn't have to pay tax. Also, please check with www.resellerratings.com. before you go any further with this sale. Jim
I was on a list at Ritz Camera online for over a month. I cancelled it when I saw that Best Buy had them in stock. Arrived in 3 days (express shipping $26.00). They are available online only (BestBuy.com) and not at any BestBuy stores.
I am in connecticut and the law is that ef the on-line retailer has a physical store in your state they have to charge you sales tax. If they don't have a physical location, they don't charge you sales tax but you are supposed to 'declare' those purchases and voluntarily pay the sales tax. Unless the department of revenue gets a hold of that vendor's sales records they would not be able to identify who did not voluntarily pay the sales tax.
