Exposure locking in Manual/Shutter Priority Mode
Is there a way to lock the exposure setting in Manual mode or Shutter priority mode? I find that I inadvertently change my settings, typically the shutter speed by scrolling through reviewing images.

I recommend you update your profile lisitng your gear so we can provide the information you need.
If you're using using a D4, check page 133 of the manual. If you're using a D3S, check page 130 of the manual.
Hope this helps...JL

For some reason I am prone to knocking the back thumb-wheel (which I use for Aperture). So I have likewise taken to locking Aperture when shooting manual and it has been great (on my D4).
I have also used the shutter-speed lock recently as well. But am tending to leave that unlocked because I don't seem as prone to accidentally jostling the front dial. With it unlocked, I can quickly use SS to adjust light when I need to (which is handy when alternately shooting black birds and white birds in flight).
Best regards, SteveK

And just in case you haven't done it yet (some of you will), the top buttons are also active when reviewing photos, so as you scroll from photo to photo if you happen to touch (say) the bracket button on the top, you are now going to be shooting brackets and not know it.
I once shot about an hour worth of volleyball with a D800 in TIFF mode, from touching the quality button while chimping.
I really wish Nikon would disable the other controls while in display mode (Except those like AF-ON or shutter which take you out of display mode.
Ever since getting those dozens of huge TIFF files this has been a pet peeve, and I still occasionally end up in bracket mode despite being aware of it.
PS. Yes, maybe I need to stop chimping.

Sorry for the delayed reply- Thanks JL and Steve, I really appreciate the help. Tired of looking down and seeing my exposure settings have mysteriously changed- stop blaming those little gremlins!
