Hi, I am wondering about upgrading to take advantage of a superior sensor, especially around low-light performance. However, I need to keep a high fps for sport and other activities. Looking at this, it seems like quite an expensive balance to achieve. The most economic way to do this may be a used D3 which appear to be very good value at the moment.

I'd obviously be inheriting a heavy body and losing the crop factor but gaining a pro body. I wonder what people would see as the advantages of this switch (i.e. just how much superior a camera is the D3?) and whether it could be a logical move?

Cheers

Paul

p.s. maybe I should have posted this in the D300 forum for balance
