Hello everyone..

I've had a question in my mind for a long time involving shutter-release options.
I have a D3s and a D4. I understand the 'focus' and 'shutter' priority in allowing the shutter to do it's thing. But is there an option to NOT allow the shutter to fire if the exposure isn't good? For instance, if i'm shooting in a dark environment with shutter-priority, and have my settings at 1/250 @ ISO 400 (i know...who would do such a thing?), I possibly wouldn't have enough f-stop to allow a proper exposure, but my shutter would still fire.

I'm usually pretty careful when in situations like that, but when hurried to capture a shot, one sometimes doesn't have time to think fast enough.
